Each of the five reels has its own named Collector sitting above it.
This guide covers one thing: how to trigger 5 Mega Thunder Coins' four biggest features, the 5 Collectors, the Running Wins Bonus, Free Spins and Bonus Buy. Each section below breaks the activation sequence into a few short steps, paired with a screenshot so you can see exactly what to look for on the reels. For the full RTP, volatility, symbol paytable and strategy breakdown, read the full review. New to the basics? Start at the 5 Mega Thunder Coins overview or how to play first.
The 5 Collectors sit above the five reels, each with its own job: Collect, Restart, Double, Big and Mystery. Filling one comes down to landing coin symbols on the reel underneath it, not hitting a separate bonus round. Here's the activation sequence in four steps. For the full mechanical breakdown, including how it feeds the jackpot ladder, see the 5 Collectors explainer in the full review.
Each of the five reels has its own named Collector sitting above it.
A coin landing on a given reel banks its value into that reel's Collector.
The Expanding Multiplier Wild can land and multiply whatever a Collector has already banked.
Collect, Restart, Double, Big or Mystery each resolves differently once its Collector is full.
Running Wins is the coin-collection layer riding underneath the 5 Collectors. Coin and money symbols carry a cash value shown directly on the reel, and stacking them is how you climb 5 Mega Thunder Coins' four-tier jackpot ladder toward the Grand Jackpot.
Coin and money symbols land during normal play and route to that reel's Collector.
Cash values print directly on the symbol, no separate multiplier screen needed.
Coins collect toward the four-tier ladder shown live on screen.
Enough collected value lands you on a jackpot tier, from Mini up to Grand at x2,000 the bet.
Free Spins runs as its own round on top of the base game, giving the Running Wins mechanic and the 5 Collectors extra room to build without touching your regular spin balance. Trigger conditions come straight from the base-game reels.
Free Spins triggers from the standard 4x5 reels, not a separate mode.
Land the qualifying symbols and the round launches automatically.
Wins and Collector progress continue building without dipping into your balance.
Once the round ends, play drops back to normal spins with Collector progress intact.
Bonus Buy gives you two options: skip straight to the Bonus Game for 80x your stake, or pay 2x your stake on Bonus Up: Running Spins to raise your trigger chance instead of buying in outright. Neither is a separate mode - the features themselves play out exactly the same either way.
Tap the BUY button visible in the game's main interface.
Bonus Game costs 80x your stake for instant entry; Bonus Up: Running Spins costs 2x your stake per spin and boosts your odds.
The chosen buy-in deducts as a lump sum, or as an ongoing 2x stake, from your balance.
Running Wins collection and the jackpot ladder behave exactly the same as an organic hit.
Some casinos restrict Bonus Buy in certain jurisdictions, so the button may not show for everyone. New to the basic controls first? Start with how to play 5 Mega Thunder Coins before working through these triggers.
